Most of us have been receiving emails over the past two weeks from companies and organizations to tell us they are compliant with the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). So what is this all about?
The GDPR is the biggest change to data privacy regulation in 20 years, and although it is an EU regulation, it affects all businesses and organizations because websites are global (and anyone from the EU could access our website at anytime, hence we need to clarify what information we collect from individuals who visit our website). Additionally, businesses are required to show any EU resident (which includes anyone physically present in the EU) what information we have collected about them, how it is stored, who has access to it, and how the person can request we delete it.
For further details about the GDPR and how to ensure you are compliant, visit the EU's dedicated website.
As with all businesses and organizations, we have also updated our Privacy Policy in keeping with the EU’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our updated policy provides more details on what information we collect; how we use this information and why and how we store it; and how you can request that your information is updated or deleted.
Read our full Privacy Policy here.
We will continue to focus on keeping your data safe, for the benefit of our clients, contacts, and website visitors.
Thank you for your continued support!
